| Bathtub skins are a quick and cost-effective way to protect bathtubs, whirlpools, and stall showers from scratches, abrasions, dirt, and grime caused by bathroom construction. They guard the tub from nails, tiles, tools, and drastically reduce the hassles of clean-up and possible repair or replacement costs. Once applied, the latex coating dries to a durable, easy-to-remove “protective skin.”

Bathtub Skins are effective on fiberglass, acrylic, cast iron, and steel tubs. It does not in any way interact with the bathtub. Our technicians mask off the hardware on the tub and then apply the material. Drying time varies according to climate, being most affected by humidity since it is water-based. In warm, dry weather it only takes a few hours to dry. Cold weather will elongate the drying time to overnight.
Once construction in the bathroom is completed, just peel-off the skin. There is no time limit of how long it should stay on the tub, but you do want to remove in a timely manner. It can even be applied to tubs that come with a plastic protector or a non-skid bottom.
Please contact the office for coordinating the application of “Skins” during you construction project.
