Established 1982 providing quality workmanship and reliable services Service Residential and Commercial Licensed, Insured, and Bonded. Reglazing Completed in your home or at our facility.
Why not replace the tub? Replacement of the bathtub involves a "rip out" of the entire bath. Wall tiles, floors, and plumbing must be removed and replaced.
Is reglazing expensive? The cost of reglazing is 1/3 of the cost of replacement. Resurfacing is cost effective, completed in a timely manner, and will not disrupt the home.
How long does it take to complete the work? 2-3 hours to complete. The surface must then cure for 48 hours prior to use.
What is the Longevity of Refinishing? the reglazed surface will be easy to maintain and will last many years.
Why not to consider tub-liners? There can be problems with liners. Water can seep under the liner at the drain or wall, and mold, mildew, bacteria, and odors develop. A molded tub liner is in excess of $1000.00. A liner must be removed if a crack or water seepage occurs. We also offer this removal service.
What is the Customer Preparation? Construction and plumbing repairs should be completed before the reglazing. Decorative remodeling such as wallpapering & painting should be done after reglazing. Items about the room should be removed prior to the technician's arrival.
WHAT CAN BE REFINISHED ?
Bathtubs, Wall Tiles, Sinks (Kitchen or Bathroom), Commode Exteriors, Ceramic Shower Stalls, Shower Floor, Jacuzzi's, Hot Tubs, Acrylic and Fiberglass Units, Antique Footed or Pedestal Bathtubs, Kitchen Cabinets, and various "Period Pieces" such as Porcelain Table Tops, Radiators, Barber Chairs, and Antique Ice Chests, etc.
THE APPLICATION
The reglazing is completed by spraying multiple layers of glaze onto the prepared surface. The glaze bonds onto the surface. Turbine equipment air warms the glaze during its application. We use a hybrid glaze, consisting of epoxies, polyesters, and ground sand and glass. Our glaze meets all requirements established by the Department of Commerce's Amer. National Standards Institute.
THE PROCESS
Wall Tiles are chemically cleaned, acid etched, regrouted, repaired, and reglazed. After the glazing the grout lines are clearly defined. The problem of mildew is eliminated as mildew will not develop on a glazed surface. The refinishing seals the grout lines, so missing grout will no longer be a problem.
Bathtubs & Sinks are chemically cleaned and acid etched. Surface chips and scratches are repaired with a ceramic filler. The result is a high shine finish with a new non-porous surface.
